How to resize multiple images in Photoshop

Published Fri. Nov. 30, 2012

Record an action and batch automate repetitive tasks on a large number of images

-Record a Photoshop action resizing an image and save as’ing it. But have an image open BEFORE you start recording your action and make sure you have a save-as (not save for web) last in your action to prevent the jpeg quality dialog box from appearing outside the action (forcing you to hit enter every file which defeats the purpose of batching)

-Click Automate>Batch and use the previously recorded action and set up the “Source” and “Destination” Folders. (Destination should be the same as the location you save-as’ed your image)

-Watch Photoshop do the work for you!
